Mental Well-Being Walk & Talk for Men in Southbourne

Purpose
A safe, supportive space for men to come together, talk openly and feel less alone. Many men experience challenges with their mental health, but may struggle to reach out or find the right support. By walking side by side, conversations can feel easier, with no pressure, no judgement and no expectation, just the opportunity to connect, share if you want to, and support one another.
About This Gathering
About the Host
I work in nature conservation, and the coast, heaths and forests mean a great deal to me. Being outdoors plays an important role in my well-being.
About the Organisation
Men Walking and Talking is a community initiative that brings men together through regular walks, creating a safe, supportive space to talk openly and help break the stigma around men’s mental health. Founded in 2021, with just one attendee on the first walk, it has grown to include walks across 28 counties. The organisation became a Community Interest Corporation in 2022 and is now a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
